LIFE Groups are the mainstay of discipleship, fellowship and accountability at TMAC. Currently, we offer groups both in Pensacola and Gulf Breeze, with several new ones beginning in February 2010. LIFE Groups are the place where strong and deep relationships are built with others. They are the first line of ministry when someone is ill, or when there is a family crisis. They are places of support, encouragement, and opportunities to deepen your relationship with Christ as you delve into His Word with others. Since they all meet in people's homes, they are wonderfully comfortable groups for everyone to settle in, ask questions, and wrestle with the problems and joys of life.
Our young adults (group 1) meet every other Sunday evening at the home of Bud and Deenie Williams. These are our TnT's, or "twenties and thirties," and the group includes both young marrieds and single adults. For information, call Bud or Deenie.
Young adults (group 2) meets Sunday evenings, in East Hill at 7PM, home of Brent and Rachel Brown. Dessert will be served. For information, see Rachel or Brent Brown.
In Pensacola, one of our long-standing LIFE groups is led by Stephen Smithee and his wife Vickie. This group meets every other Tuesday. Steve or Vickie will be glad to give you directions and more information about Pensacola Group One's current study of John.
In Gulf Breeze, Tim and Claire Baughn lead a group of "Breezers" on alternate Monday evenings. Contact Tim or Claire for dates and location, as this group meets at a different group member's home each time.
Are you a needleworker? Do you know how to knit or crochet, or would you like to learn? Join Paula Svoboda and others (open to men as well) for LOVE KNOTS to create prayer shawls and lap throws for the residents of our adopted nursing home, Southern Oaks. Give Paula a call to join at any time. The group is now beginning knitting shawls to send to the elderly at our sister church in Murambi, Rwanda, so extra hands and clicking needles are needed! A SECOND group is beginning in February in order to accommodate those ladies who work outside the home during the day but who also wish to knit. Contact AMY THACKER or LAUREL HICKS.
For our second group in Pensacola, Sam and Diana Hall host a Sunday evening group at 530PM. Give them a call to get directions and information about the current topic of study.
Throughout the year as needed, Pastor Ron and Lisa host a NEWCOMERS' CLASS in their home for four consecutive Sunday evenings, 6PM. To sign up for this group, contact the church office at 433-0420.
GULF BREEZE has a new group formed, meeting in different homes every other Monday evening.. Contact the Tim or Claire Baughn for dates/meeting times coming up.
